Wendy Boyce
lead vocals
Wendy began her musical journey at a very young age in a small town in Iowa. During high school she performed in choir and musical theater productions. She continued her musical endeavors in college and became a trained opera singer. She earned her M.M. degree studying with Virginia Dupuy at Southern Methodist University, where she performed the role of Miss Jessel in The Turn of the Screw, Dorabella in Cosi fan Tutte, as well as the lead role in Carmen. Wendy has performed in many venues around the metroplex such as the Meyerson Symphony Center, Dallas Museum of Art, The Modern in Fort Worth, and Bass Hall. She recently completed her second season as a young artist for the Des Moines Metro Opera.
Prior to Scarlet Vermillion, Wendy had never sung with a rock band, but she is not one to be daunted by new experiences. A true Renaissance woman, Wendy is an ardent practitioner and instructor of yoga and has worked for Dallas Summer Musicals as a choreographer.
She wishes her SV fans to know that she could easily destroy or move things with her mind, and she will teach them how. Eric wants to destroy you with his thoughts, but don’t worry, she won’t teach him these techniques. Eric is surprisingly dangerous.
